Gregg P. Tabakin is an experienced litigator who has been certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney which is a designation granted to approximately only two (2) percent of attorneys in the state who are able to demonstrate sufficient levels of experience, education, knowledge, and skill in civil trial practice.
Mr. Tabakin’s broad commercial litigation practice focuses on bank and real estate related matters, construction law, employment law as well as will contests and fiduciary litigation. He has more than 35 years of experience in representing both plaintiffs and defendants in state, federal and bankruptcy courts in addition to handling arbitrations and mediations for his clients. His practice includes representation of clients from pre-litigation investigations through and including trial and appeal.
Mr. Tabakin also leads the firm’s class action defense team. He has significant experience in defending class actions and a part of his practice is dedicated to defending financial institutions and other companies in consumer protection class actions such as cases filed under the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
Mr. Tabakin served as a law clerk to Judge George P. Helfrich in the Superior Court of New Jersey and is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the New Jersey Creditors Bar Association.
