Mr. Loeb concentrates in the areas of asset protection planning, business planning, estate planning, estate and gift taxation, and general corporate law. Areas of estate planning experience include wills, a variety of trust vehicles and planning for retirement benefits. Mr. Loeb is also experienced in a variety of charitable giving techniques and has provided counsel on multiple estate litigation disputes.
In his practice, Mr. Loeb holds an LL.M in Taxation, an advanced legal degree, and advises clients on a wide variety of tax matters including the tax implications in acquisitions and dispositions, corporate migrations and spin-offs, structuring transactions to maximize tax benefits or minimize taxes, and has prepared various limited liability and partnership agreements involving allocation of tax benefits. Mr. Loeb has an extensive amount of experience in counseling clients related to offshore Disclosure issues and representing clients before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and state taxing authorities.
In addition, Mr. Loeb is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association and the Morris County Bar Association. Mr. Loeb is a current founding member of the LT Continuum of Northern New Jersey. Mr. Loeb is a member of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Community Housing Corporation. Mr. Loeb is a frequent presenter on Trust and Estate related topics for a variety of audiences. Mr. Loeb has been featured in the Daily Record, The Jewish News, and the Standard Federal Tax Reports (CCH).
Mr. Loeb has been named Special Tax Appeals Counsel to the Town of Morristown, New Jersey for 2007, 2008, and 2009. In this capacity, Mr. Loeb defends the Town's property tax assessments. Additionally, Mr. Loeb, effective January 1, 2009, was appointed by Governor Jon Corzine as Commissioner of the Morristown Housing Authority. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Loeb was a law clerk to the Honorable Vito L. Bianco, J.T.C.
