Civil Litigation describes all non-criminal lawsuits that fall
outside of specialized practice areas. These include contract disputes,
intentional torts such as assault, will contests, business torts such as
intentional interference with a contract, and employment discrimination issues.
To succeed in bringing or defending a civil litigation, our clients depend on
our litigation team's skill and experience before all courts in the state.
Where appropriate, we consult with other attorneys in different departments of
the firm to gain additional understanding of the underlying subject area of a
dispute.
Given our philosophy of preventive lawyering, where appropriate,
we take pride in our ability to assist our clients in resolving a civil law
dispute without resort to litigation. Our clients benefit from our
experience in alternative dispute resolution methods such as mediation and
arbitration, which many times are quicker and less costly then traditional
courtroom litigation. Furthermore, by working with our clients to make
sure they learn about their strengths and weaknesses of their case, our clients
receive the tools to resolve their matter without "bringing in the lawyers".
