Practice Description:
Mr. Shepard is the Managing Shareholder of the Litigation and Real Estate
Departments, as well as Managing Attorney of the firm. He concentrates his
practice in all areas of civil litigation including business litigation,
contract litigation, real estate litigation, municipal court litigation and
personal injury and matrimonial matters. In addition, to arguing before
the Supreme Court of New Jersey, Mr. Shepard appears before and in New
Jersey Superior Court (Chancery and Law Divisions), New Jersey Superior Court
(Appellate Division) as well as Federal
Court.
Mr. Shepard is also the Managing Attorney of the Firm's Real Estate
Department and Supervising Attorney of our Commercial Real Estate Practice
Area, inclusive of purchase, sale, refinance, mortgage closing and
leases. Commercial transactions regularly include transactions with
significant financial implications. For example, he has acted as real
estate counsel for a borrower in connection with a multi-million dollar assisted
living project financed by the New Jersey Economic Development Authority.
He is an active member of the community, serving as a Municipal Court Judge
for Parsippany-Troy Hills during 1995. Mr. Shepard has also been an adjunct
faculty member of Morris County College lecturing in the area of Business Law,
and is currently a member of the Boonton Township Board of Adjustment
Mr. Shepard was Law Secretary to Honorable Paul Bangiola, Superior Court from
1983 to 1984. During law school he was the recipient of The American
Jurisprudence Prize for Wills. He is a member of the Association of Trial
Lawyers of America as well as the Morris County, New Jersey State and American
Bar Associations.
