Practice Description:
Ms. Wheatley-Liss specializes in transactions in the areas of
Business Planning, Taxation, Estate Planning and Administration, and Elder Law, with a
focus on e-commerce, closely held businesses, non-profit organizations, retirement benefits, asset protection planning and Medicaid
planning. Her clients include both businesses and individuals. She is also the managing shareholder of the Firm's Technology
Committee.
Ms. Wheatley-Liss' continuous pursuit of knowledge distinguishes her from other
practitioners in her fields. She has an LL.M in Taxation, an
advanced legal degree. She is also accredited as a Certified Elder
Law Attorney, one of less than 50 attorneys in the state.
In order to educate both the public and the legal community about issues relating to
Ms. Wheatley-Liss's areas of practice, she is a frequent lecturer and author of legal
and consumer-oriented
articles. Recent lecture topics include: Let's Write a Will! (for the New
Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education), Uses for Family Limited
Partnerships and Family Limited Liability Companies; Fraudulent Transfer Issues
in Asset Protection Planning; and the Minimum Distribution Rules for Retirement
Plan Benefits; 10 Questions to Ask to Evaluate Your Estate Plan; Medicaid
Planning Post-DRA. She has also been recently featured in Towne and
Country Magazine, NJ Biz and Garden State Women Magazine, the
Daily Record and New Jersey Lawyer. Ms.
Wheatley-Liss also authors the Firm's legal blog,

The legal blog offers commentary on developments in Business Law, Tax Law,
Estate Planning, Estate Administration and Elder Law.
Ms. Wheatley-Liss is
active in the local business community as a
member of the Steering Committee for the
Women in Business Committee of the Morris County Chamber of Commerce.
She is also a member of
the American Bar Association, Probate and Real Property Section and Tax
Section; New Jersey Bar Association, Tax, Real Property and Probate
Section and Elder Law Sections, and New York Bar Association, Probate
Section, as well as the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys.
